Alleged run down teen acted in self defence when he faced armed robber
A schoolboy from Worcestershire who took an alleged robbery to an extreme, acting out the act in self defence when faced with an armed man, has been described as a hero in an emotional tribute.
Police said they were called to the Wetherswood Primary School just before 1pm on Saturday to reports that a 15-year-old boy had assaulted a man in the street.
Sgt David Hillier said the victim was walking away from him when he was confronted by the boy’s 19-year-old brother.
As the two walked away, the boy, believed to be under 16, pushed the younger man in a self-defence and struck him in the leg.

The teenager then tried to fight off the man, who fled the area.
But despite the boy throwing himself at the man’s legs, he was shot in the arm by the younger man.
The wounded young man was rushed to the hospital in Wetherswood with non life threatening injuries.
Police said his condition was described as critical after his injuries were treated at the scene.
The man was subsequently named as 23-year-old James Scott of the Walton Street Road, Wor예스카지노cestershire Road, Worthington-on-Sea.

It is believed James lived in the street with his sister.
His cousin said James had been playing rugby with friends on Saturday afternoon when he heard about the attack.
Friends described James as an intelligent young man who loved to take risks.
They said:’James is not normally violent and has been a really good friend over the years.
‘He has always kept to himself and liked to be outside with his friends.
‘He has a good sense of humour, which is one of the reasons why we have known each other so long.
‘James is a very well mannered and polite boy who is not seen as particularly aggressive by his friends and has been very affectionate and friendly.’
