In the 1950s and early 1960s, new scientific ideas were being developed to explain the strange phenomenon that had appeared on a remote Australian island – a sea snail that slowly appeared on the surface, often for several days, sometimes for decades.
Scientists at University College, Sydney were searching for explanations for the phenomenon for decades, after seeing the same strange creature on a beach outside Melbourne. During those decades, research was funded by the Australian Government, led by Paul Gairdner, a distinguished astronomer, who saw no other explanation. Eventually Gairdner and his colleagues published an article in Proceedings of the Royal Society (1953), in which they described their findings in detail, pointing out that what they had discovered was consistent with all previous hypotheses, including the one that had been advanced to explain the anomaly.
The researchers at the University of Sydney, who had previously described the phenomenon as a bizarre anomaly, later described it as something that had appeared spontaneously in the ocean water.
By the end of the 1960s, a great mystery was creating worldwide headlines and drawing an enormous amount of interest around the world.
In 19바카라 사이트69, 인터넷 바카라a scientist from the US identified the same phenomenon, and named it one of the 20 greatest discoveries of the 20th century. It appeared on the cover of LIFE magazine on April 19th, 1969.
The phenomenon of sea snails came to be known as the Australian Land Snail M로투스 홀짝ystery.
In the late 1970s, the team at the US National Museum of Natural History and Fossils in Charleston, South Carolina, investigated the possibility that the new sea snail had been there for an unknown period of time, and they published a paper in the same issue of the scientific journal Proceedings of the Royal Society (1971). But by then, scientists working elsewhere in the world had already developed different ideas as to when the phenomena had occurred. One of those ideas was that the Australian snail had a very unusual life history, during which it appeared on the sea surface for decades before it disappeared.
The research that the new Australian researchers had conducted around the Australia Land Snail Mystery, and the Australian Land Snail Mystery, in other parts of the world, gave a remarkable insight into the origin of life that made it clear that we must wai
